Prysmian, an Italian public company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, is a world leader in the energy and telecommunications cables and systems industry. Specifically, the company operates in the business of underground/submarine cables and systems for power transmission and distribution, specialty cables for applications in various industrial sectors, and medium and low voltage cables for the construction and infrastructure sectors. For telecommunications, the Group produces cables and accessories for voice, video, and data transmission.
With nearly 140 years of experience, the Prysmian Group recorded revenues exceeding €17 billion in 2024 and has more than 30,000 employees across 108 plants in over 50 countries. The incentives granted by theMinistero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy as part of the Green New Deal call pursuant to the Interministerial Decree of December 1, 2021, relate to a research and development program aimed at designing and prototyping power transmission systems using submarine cables with higher power ratings than the state of the art, thanks to higher cable cross-sections and operating temperatures.
